All PetCubes pet food are prepared according to HACCP standards in a commercial AVA-licensed kitchen. Once cooked or prepared, they are vacuum sealed straight away.
PetCubes Essentials & Complete are:
1) Gently cooked at 80°C to retain vital minerals and vitamins
2) Quickly blast frozen to -30°C within 1 to 2 hours to lock in freshness
PetCubes Raw are:
1) Prepared at -5°C 2) Stored at -30°C for over a week to destroy any parasite that are present
PetCubes are fresher than home cooked food due to the blast freezing process. Foods are exposed to bacterial contamination even while freezing; the faster they freeze, the less time contamination has to occur.
Home cooked meals can take up to 9 hours to freeze to -18°C in a normal freezer, which is much slower than blast freezers.
