Assistant Groomer

Duties:
Courteous, timely, and consistent is a must. Bathe, brush, blow-dry, apply conditioner on pets that require haircuts. Combs and shapes pet's coat. Trim and file pets' nails. Basic trimming of pet's coat. Talks to pets or uses other techniques to calm animal. Use and maintain the tools and equipment, such as clippers, shears, bathing sink, fans and blowers. Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety meets KOHE standards by sweeping, mopping, etc. on a regular basis. Feeds and provides water for pets. Clean cages. Assist in booking grooming appointments. Special projects as assigned. Studies proportions of pets to determine most appropriate cutting pattern to achieve desired style. Greet customers and promote grooming services. Sells pet accessories, equipment, food, and remedies: Advises customer on care, training, feeding, living habits, and characteristics of pets, such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and hamsters.

Experience:
Pet handling experience preferred. Assistant groomer experience a plus.

After 1 year employment as Assistant Groomer with KOHE, there will be a 3rd KOHE evaluation for position as Professional Groomer.

Professional Groomer( without Certificate )

Duties:

Combs, clips, trims, and shapes pets' coats to groom pets, using knowledge of pets' characteristics and grooming techniques and styles: Reads written or receives oral instructions to determine clipping pattern desired. Places pet on grooming table and fits grooming collar on pet to hold it to table. Studies proportions of pets to determine most appropriate cutting pattern to achieve desired style. Clips pet's hair according to determined pattern, using electric clippers, comb, and barber's shears. Combs and shapes pet's coat. Talks to pets or uses other techniques to calm animal. Use and maintain the tools and equipment, such as clippers, shears, bathing sink, fans and blowers. Greet customers and promote grooming services. Sells pet accessories, equipment, food, and remedies: Advises customer on care, training, feeding, living habits, and characteristics of pets, such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and hamsters. Certified Professional Intermediate Groomer

After 2 years employment with KOHE as Certified Intermediate Professional Groomer, there will be a 3rd KOHE evaluation for position as Certified Professional Advanced Groomer.

Certified Professional Advanced Groomer

Professional Groomer with Delivery Service

Duties:
Drive vehicle in order to transport pets and pet products to and from specified destinations. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Load and unload vans. Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Read maps, GPS and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations. Present bills and receipts, and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using phones. Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.

Experience:
2 years+ driving experience preferred.
